Need Help Picking the Right Color Temperature of Lighting

Brea Black |

Picking the right lighting is a lot more than selecting the right fixtures and types of bulbs.  The most important step is finding the color temperature (the warmness to brightness) that makes the room project the feeling you're going for.

Here's a great chart that identifies some of the best environments for what type of rooms.

However, the big thing omitted from this chart is the infamous 4000 color temperatures. 4000s are great for breezeways, mail rooms, bathrooms, and hallways.  However, make sure you consider the impact of the 4000s in senior living facilities.  This  color is more blue and can be harsh on elderly eyes.  However, you need to balance this with the safety of residents.

If you ever need assistance choosing the proper color temperature, don't hesitate to reach out!
